40 Manila Traffic Enforcers Allegedly Not Receive Salary For 1 Year

About 40 Manila traffic enforcers were complaining of not receiving their salary for a year and their sudden dismissal from their job.

On Wednesday (November 15, 2017), at least 40 employees of Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau (MTPB) calls for justice after they have not received their salary for a year.

According to the cease and desist order, the incumbent members of the quick response team was dismissed from their post due to the alleged irregularities on their jobs.

However, the group denied the accusations and explained that they did not undergo an investigation before fired from their duties.

“Wala kaming alam sa irregularity na yan. Lahat ng utos sa kanila galing. Ginagawa lang namin kung anong inuutos nila,” said by Carlos Cunanan, one of the complainants quoted by ABS-CBN.

The traffic enforcers explained that it was painful for them to expect the P6, 000 to P9, 000 monthly salary they did not receive for one year.

Spencer Abraham, one of the complainants said that he started to work last September 2016 at MTPB, but some of his colleagues don’t have any contract to sign as they for their plantilla.

Abraham also revealed that some of his colleagues have only signed the contract last July 2017, but they were not yet able to receive their salary.

The displaced traffic enforcers made their appeal after having the chance to talk to Manila Mayor Joseph.
