Latest Updates Of Magnitude 7.3 Earthquake In Iran

Here are the latest updates on the magnitude 7.3 earthquake that struck Iran, which numerous lives and injured thousands of people.

On Sunday (November 12, 2017), Iranian officials said that a powerful 7.3 magnitude quake has struck Iraqi city of Halabja near the Iraq-Iran border.

The powerful tremor killed at least 130 people and injured more than 1, 000 people, according to the report of Iran’s semi-official news agency Fars News.

Omar Ahmad, the governor of Sulaimaniya said that at least four people died in eastern Iraq and dozens were injured in the town of Darbandikhan, Iraq.

The US Geological Survey said that the quake has an epicenter of 350 kilometers north of Baghdad. The tremor was also felt throughout Iraq and also destroyed buildings in Darbandikhan.

Iraq’s Meteorological Organization also warned the residents to stay away from buildings and to avoid using elevators.
