Cancelled Flights on Thursday, November 9, 2017

Several domestic flights were cancelled on Thursday, November 9, 2017, due to bad weather as Tropical Depression Salome intensifies.

Meanwhile, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) announced on Thursday, November 9, 2017, that Tropical Depression Salome has slightly intensified as it crosses Ticao Pass.

In an advisory issued by the state weather bureau at exactly 11 a.m. (November 9), Salome was last spotted at 50 km South-Southwest of Juban, Sorsogon (12.6 °N, 123.8 °E),

The tropical depression is forecast to move West Northwest at 25 kph with maximum sustained winds of  55 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.

Cl(–foul word(s) removed–) were suspended in several Local Government Units (LGUs) and institutions in the country due to Tropical Depression Salome.

Tropical Depression Salome is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) by Saturday morning (November 11, 2017).
