PIA WURTZBACH – The Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach replies to netizens who have criticized her Twitter post about crowns received by the country from beauty pageants.
Recently, the people of the Philippines have celebrated the glorious victory of Winwyn Marquez and Karen Ibasco for respectively bagging the crowns from prestigious pageants such as Miss Reina Hispanoamericana 2017 and Miss Earth 2017.
Thus, the world-renowned beauty queen, the Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach reacted upon these victories.
On the Twitter account of Pia Wurtzbach is where she gladly posted a status which told, “Everyday may crown ang Philippines! Congratulations!!”
To which was criticized by some of the people from the social media community.
Here are some of the criticisms obtained:
From @Januaryabcd: “everyday rin may napapatay na pilipino at this age, and yet at the end of the day you only care for a crown.”
From @Ginowesome: “Yes just like recently we were crowned as one of the countries who failed to curb corruption and uphold the rule of law. Until the day na may comment ka na about EJK, dun tayo magyabang sa crown mo. Thanks!”
From @parkjohn__: “Everyday may pinapatay ring Pilipino ang gobyerno natin pero wala kang sinasabi anek”
However, others have defended Pia.
One netizen indicated, “Pia is a beauty queen title holder and not a politician, CHR or policewoman…”
Thus, the beauty has replied in another post on her account on the said social media site.
Pia stated, “I’m sorry po. I don’t mean to be misunderstood po and I don’t mean to offend anyone. I am very much pro life. Salamat po mga kababayan.”
