Filipino People Urged By President Duterte To Be Agents Of Change On All Souls’ Day
President Rodrigo Duterte urges the Filipino people to be agents of change on All Souls’ Day through learning from saints and departed loved ones.
On Tuesday (October 31, 2017), President Duterte gives a meaningful message for the Filipino people this coming “All Souls’ Day” and “All Saints’ Day”.
The president explained that we should learn and gain more wisdom from the saints and our loved ones who have already depart. He also noted how they made an impact on our lives and enriched our faith.
“Their pursuit brought us closer to God and affected each of us on a deep and personal level. Their lives inspire us to build on their legacy, to make our mark in this world and to dedicate ourselves to causes that are greater than our own self-interest. Their deeds remind us that, like them, we are capable of bringing hope and joy to many people,” said by Duterte quoted by ABS-CBN.
Mr. Duterte urged the Filipino people to observe the special holidays and reflect on how we can bring positive change in our society to become an agent of change.
Duterte also wanted Filipinos to think how they can make the Philippines a better country for the future generation.
Currently, President Duterte was in Japan for an official visit and set to return in Davao City on Tuesday night.
