Heavy Rainfall Warning In Different Parts Of Philippines Issued By PAGASA
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) issued a heavy rainfall warning in different areas in the country.
As of 7:50 am Tuesday morning (October 31, 2017), the state weather bureau Pagasa has raised an orange warning level in different parts of the country due to a low-pressure area.
Eastern Samar, Samar, Biliran, Southern Leyte and Leyte were the areas under the orange warning level and could experience a heavy rainfall warning.
The weather agency also warned of possible flooding in low-lying areas and landslides in mountainous areas because of heavy rainfall.
The details and information regarding the low-pressure area were based on current radar trends and other meteorological data.
Pagasa also said that the public and the disaster risk reduction and management council are advised to take appropriate actions regarding the matter.
The state weather bureau also urged the public to monitor the weather condition and stay tuned for further updates and information regarding the low-pressure area.
