Cogie Domingo denied accusations of using illegal drugs.
COGIE DOMINGO – Filipino former actor Cogie Domingo denied the accusations that he is using illegal drugs despite reported pieces of evidence recovered.
According to a previous report, the former actor Cogie Domingo has been arrested together with wife in an anti-drug operation administered by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), yesterday, October 27 in Paranaque City.
It was early morning of Friday when the actor was caught buying the said illegal drugs.
The number of the illegal drugs recovered by the authorities has not been identified and they were held in the custody of the PDEA-4A.
This information as been confirmed by the PIO of Head of the PDEA Region 4-A Mary Anne Lorenzo.
And now, based on the report from the ABS-CBN News, it was the woman, who also got arrested, is the target of the authorities’ buy-bust operation and it also happened that Domingo had bought the alleged illegal substance.
But this has been firmly denied by the actor.
He said, “Hindi naman po talaga ako nagbebenta, hindi po gumagamit. Hindi po ako bumibili. Hindi ko po alam ‘yung ebidensiya laban po sa akin and sa totoo niyan, kumakain lang kami ng dinner at nagulat na lang po ako na ayun po, nagkaroon po ng mga pulis dun at nagkaroon ng hulihan.”
Domingo also believed that he was just framed up.
As per the source, even Domingo’s father, Rod Domingo, believed that his son could not do such activity.
Rod Domingo indicated, “I don’t know anything about this. I am the dad. I know Cogie has not been using or selling any drugs. Wala, he is not involved in any way sa drugs.”
He further added, “When it was at the height that everyone is being suspected lalo na ‘yung mga artista, he voluntarily submitted himself to a drug test. It was negative. Two times ginawa niya ‘yun, not for anybody, on his own… It’s negative, I still have the results ’til now.”
