Comedian Atak Arrested After Allegedly Harassing Hotel Employee

Atak was arrested after allegations of harassing a hotel employee.

ATAK – The famous comedian Atak has been arrested by the authorities after allegations of harassing an employee of Okada Manila on Sunday afternoon in Parañaque City.

Ronie Arana or also known as “Atak” is a famous comedian from the Kapuso network.

Atak (Ronie Arana in real life) has started his career as a stand-up comedian in bars as he became known for establishing a distinctive “attack” to comedy.

Currently, he is a part of weekly variety show “Sunday Pinasaya.”

And now, according to a report from the Manila Bulletin, chief of Parañaque police Senior Superintendent Victor Rosete has identified Atak as the suspect after receiving a complaint from a certain Mark Christian Macavinta.

Macavinta accused Atak and confessed to the authorities that he was kissed and groped by the comedian.

Mark Christian Macavinta, 21 years old, is a bell attendant at Okada Manila and a resident of the Santa Mesa, Manila.

Based on the initial investigation of the case, it has been found out that Macavinta attended Arana to his room at Room 725 of Okada Manila.

It was around 2:40 p.m. and the suspect suddenly closed the door behind and accordingly hugged the victim right after.

The report stated that the suspect started kissing the victim but the victim was struggling to let go and to push his assailant.

Arana then groped the bell attendant but on the report, the victim was able to escape and then reported the incident to security personnel, until the suspect was arrested.

According to the Parañaque Police Chief Rosete, the comedian has come from Bacolod and directly went to the hotel to play casino before the incident happened.

Meanwhile, according to the source, the suspect was not drunk.

Atak was brought to the Paranaque police headquarters and will be facing charges of acts of lasciviousness against him.
