29-Year-Old Dying Woman Wants To Donate Head For Medical Study, Organs to Help Patients When She Passed Away
A 29-year-old dying woman wants to donate her head for medical study and internal organs to those in need when she p(–foul word(s) removed–) away.
Ms.Lou Tao, a 29-year-old Ph.D. student at Peking University in Bejing, China has touched the hearts of the netizens through her last will stating that she wanted to donate her head and internal organs when her life p(–foul word(s) removed–).
The woman made her statement after she was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), a motor neuron terminal disease over past two years since she started for feel physical weakness.
The medical student wanted to donate her head for scientific study so she could contribute in developing a cure for ALS. She also wanted to donate all her organs to help all the patients in need.
“After I’m gone, please leave my head for medical studies. I hope future medical treatment could cure those with ALS. Please follow my words: donate all my other organs to patients in need, as long as they can help save lives,” said by Lou.
The family of the dying patient has already signed a waiver for the donation of Lou’s organs despite their grief.
In January 2017, the Chinese student got hospitalized and even on a respirator until now, but her disease did not hinder her to listen to more than 60 books in the hospital.
