Here are the photos of Hollywood action star Steven Seagal paying a courtesy call on President Rodrigo Duterte in Malacañang Palace.
On Thursday (October 12, 2017), President Rodrigo Duterte has welcomed the Hollywood actor Steven Seagal in a courtesy call in the Malacañang Palace after the international celebrity arrived in the Philippines.
Steven Seagal has been accompanied by former Ilocos Sur Gov. Luis “Chavit” Singson upon meeting Mr. Duterte in Malacañang.
The 65-year-old actor has been reportedly visited the country to search for a location for his upcoming film about illegal drugs and other crimes.
The president told Seagal that film is a reflection of real life as he expressed his opposition to the illegal drugs, which enslaves the people through a form of synthetic substance.
Mr. Duterte explained that he did not want the Philippines to suffer the same fate with Latin America, especially in Mexico, which many societies were devastated by the production and proliferation of illegal drugs.
Duterte also entertained the Hollywood celebrity and have some conversations sharing that he used to have karate lessons in the past.
Previously, President Duterte has welcomed the national artist Juan Luna’s great grandson, Freddie Luna Cruz. He was accompanied Jose David Lapuz, the Presidential Consultant for Education. Cruz presented a portrait of the president he painted in 2016.
