A barangay kagawad in Muntinlupa named Ruel Garcia harassed and punched a jeepney driver over a traffic altercation with his son.

Barangay kagawad is a government official who were tasked to serve and protect the public. They were also assigned to listen to the concern of the residents who were under their jurisdiction.

However, there are some local government officials who were taking advantage of their power and authority towards other. Public servants who are using their authority inappropriately will face corresponding sanctions and penalties.

Recently, the Facebook page “Trending News and Viral” has uploaded the video of an abusive barangay kagawad in Muntinlupoawho harassed and punched a poor jeepney driver over a traffic altercation with his son.

The social media page narrated how Kagawad Ruel Garcia cursed and physically abused the jeepney driver. According to the page, some residents in the area were already complaining on the behavior of the abusive official.

Grabe! kahit anak nya yung may kasalanan, pinatatabi lang naman ng jeepney driver yung sasakyan nila pero pinagmumura na sya at pinagbuhatan na ng kamay ni Kagawad Ruel Garcia ng muntinlupa.. marami na din po itong naperwisyo si kagawad dahil nanutok rin po sya ng baril dati sa isang tricycle driver., public servant ka pa naman pero perwisyo ka sa publiko!!. paki SHARE na lang po para mabigyan ng leksyon.. kawawa kase yung mga inaalipusta nya..”
