PAGASA Weather Forecast: Low Pressure Area (LPA) Update – September 25

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said that the country will experience rain on Monday, September 25, 2017, due to a Low Pressure Area (LPA).

According to the state weather bureau, the LPA was last spotted at 245 kilometers east southeast of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur.

Metro Manila; the Bicol region; CALABARZON (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal and Quezon); MIMAROPA (Occidental Mindoro, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan); Mindanao; the Visayas and the province of Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by LPA.

While the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by the localized thunderstorms.

Based on the statement released by PAGASA via forecaster Samuel Duran, the LPA may not intensify into a tropical cyclone.

However, the LPA may severe after it p(–foul word(s) removed–) through the West Philippine Sea.

PAGASA reminded that the coastal waters are expected to be slight to moderate.
