Hazing Suspects Challenged By Senator Pacquiao To Boxing Match
Senator Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao has challenged the hazing suspects responsible for Horacio “Atio” Castillo’s death to a boxing match.
The death of the UST law student Horacio “Atio” Castillo has been the headlines of the television news, and social media websites. Atio died in a fatal hazing conducted by the members of Aegis Juris fraternity.
On Friday (September 22, 2017), one of the hazing suspects John Paul Solano has voluntarily surrendered himself to the authorities but denied his involvement in the hazing incident. While another prime suspect Ralph Trangia has already left for Taiwan.
Recently, Senator Manny Pacquiao called the members of the fraternity group as cowards for implicating the death of Castillo. He also condemned the suspects on their inhumane actions against the hazing victim.
The Filipino boxing champion also stressed if he could only challenge the hazing suspects to a boxing match. “Kung hindi lang masama, pwede ko sila hamunin, sabay-sabay sila. Kawawa naman yung bata na nag-aaral pa,” said by Pacquiao quoted by GMA.
Castillo, a freshmen law student at the University of Santo Tomas Faculty of Civil Law attended the “welcoming rights” of the Aegis Juris fraternity on September 16, 2017, but he was not able to go home anymore.

Aegis Juris fraternity members including Arvin Balag, Mhin Wei Chan, Marc Anthony Ventura, Axel Mundo Hipe, Oliver John Audrey Onofre, Joshua Joriel Macabali, Jason Adolfo Robiños, and Ralph Trangia were under the immigration lookout bulletin order.
