Ken Chan reveals the reason why he almost quit the show business.
KEN CHAN – Young Kapuso actor Ken Chan almost quit showbiz when was forced to do something by the director who allegedly shouted at him eventually.
What it takes to be an actor or actress does not only require a great physical appearance for one must also have utmost preparedness in terms of the mental and emotional state.
The starting in this field might not be easy but what you reap is what you sow so probably, just hard work, compromises, determination, talent, and sacrifices will lead you to success.
Just like Ken Chan.
He confessed that the start of his career in the entertainment industry is not easy.
In a report from the Philippine Entertainment Portal (Pep), he confessed that he was forced to touch the butt of the leading lady of the teleserye to which he is a part of.
He shared, “Hindi ako sanay, I was just 17 years old back then, so hindi ko alam, bata pa ako. Sinigawan ako nang sinigiwan, hindi raw ako marunong humawak ng puwet ng babae. E, nahihiya ako nun. Kaya kong gawin, pero may camera, ang daming tao. Nasigawan ako nang sobra-sobra, na tipong nung umuwi ako sa bahay, kinausap ko si Mama.”
The 24-year-old actor opted not to say or reveal the name of the director even the teleserye.
He continued, “Sabi ko, ‘Ma, hindi na ako babalik bukas, ayoko na. Di ko na kaya.’ Sobrang sumakit ang puso ko nun.”
He wanted to give up and just quit then but because of the encouragement from her mother and father, he stayed and became the actor that he is now.
And when he gets to work again with the same director, the actor revealed, “Nagka-work kami ulit, niyakap niya ako nang mahigpit ng direktor na yun. Sabi ko, ‘Direk, muntik na ako di mag-artista dahil sa ‘yo.’ Tawa lang siya nang tawa. Sabi ko, ‘Direk, muntik na ako di mag-artista dahil sa ‘yo.’ Tawa lang siya nang tawa.”
