Tsunami Warning On Some Parts Of Philippines Due To Mexico Quake Released By Phivolcs

The Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) has issued a tsunami warning on some parts of the Philippines due to the Mexico quake.

Earlier, a magnitude 8.0 earthquake has struck the coastal areas of Chiapas, Mexico, which prompted the people to flee from buildings and establishment. Possible aftershocks were also expected after the powerful tremor.

The coastal areas of Mexico, Guatemala, El Salvador, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Panama, Honduras and Ecuador are now under tsunami alert after the strong quake that shook the area.

Recently, the official Facebook page of “Super Radyo DZBB 594khz” has uploaded the list of provinces under tsunami alert, which was released by Phivolcs.

As of now, the volcanology announced that there is no necessary evacuation are required, but it only advised the following provinces to wait for further updates.
