15 Manila Policemen Removed From Their Position After Caught Sleeping During Office Hours
15 Manila policemen were dismissed from their post after a complainant took photos of them sleeping during their duty at the police station.
Police officers are public servants that supposed to serve and protect the people like what they have promised before taking the responsibility. Negligence of duty was strictly punishable by law and has corresponding sanctions and penalties.
Recently, National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) has revealed the photos of fifteen policemen who was caught sleeping during their duty. The photos were taken by an unnamed complainant neglected by the police officers.
On August 23, 2017, the complainant went to the police station to report his motorcycle, which was stolen. The police officers on duty allegedly neglected the complainant’s report and scolded him for disturbing their sleep.
NCRPO Police Director Oscar Albayalde that the fifteen police officers who were assigned to night-shift remains in floating status while the officials are currently investigating the incident.
The policemen caught sleeping at the Gagalangin Police Community Precinct were identified as:
