Cynthia Lopez Creseni Pleaded Guilty For Stealing P5-M From US Naval Base In Japan

A Filipino woman named Cynthia Lopez Creseni has been pleaded guilty of stealing an amount of nearly P5 million from US Naval base in Japan.

On Monday (August 21, 2017), the federal prosecutors that Creseni has been pleaded guilty in Kansas for allegedly stealing nearly $100, 000 or P5 million from the Morale Welfare and Recreation Center at the Yokosuka Naval Base in Japan.

On Friday (August 18, 2017), the Filipino woman was pleaded guilty to theft of public money since she was the lead cashier of the slot room at the time when the stealing in the place of incident happens.

Administrative leave was placed on the Filipino woman when she returned from her vacation in the United States in February 2015 after the reports stated that the funds from the US Naval base in Japan went missing, according to the prosecutors.

Cresenti allegedly sold her house and go home to the Philippines, while agents discovered that he Pinay entered the United States in July 2015.

In January 2017, the Filipino woman got arrested in Overland Park Kansas for overstaying her Visa. The sentence for Creseni was scheduled for January 04, 2018.
