OFW shares experience when victimized by a scam using Raffy Tulfo’s name.
RAFFY TULFO – An Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) shares his experience when got victimized by a scam using the name of Raffy Tulfo.
A certain Anthony France Balacutan took the social media to warn his fellow to be aware of the fake Raffy Tulfo on Facebook for it was a scam and he was a victim of it.
According to the report published on the site of the Kwentong OFW, “someone pretended to be Raffy Tulfo on Facebook and scammed this OFW.”
As per the report, Anthony is working in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia and shared his experience on how he got victimized by someone who disguised as the said broadcast journalist.
Based on the report, Anthony appealed his problem to which his wife allegedly cheated on him while he was away and abandoned their children.
He was “confused and devastated” then when the “lover” of his wife took the social media to post the alleged affair.
And so, he thought of seeking a help from the broadcast journalist.
He sent an e-mail to Raffy Tulfo and later on, he received a notification which indicated that someone named “Raffy Tulfo” sent him a friend request.
An overwhelming feeling then enveloped his system and immediately accepted the request.
Over the Messenger application is where they discussed his problem. The discussion went on until such time he was asked to send money worth P6,500.00 as a processing fee for the assistance he was asking.
Eager to solve his dilemma with his wife, he sends the money then and later on realized he was scammed.
An excerpt from his post told, “[Sana] may makatulong sa saakin na mapaabot ito kay sir raffy dalawa na kaming biktima nito.”
