Comedian Bayani Agbayani revealed the reason why he declined the appointment as a board member of Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB).
According to the 48-year-old comedian, the reason why he refused the offer is that of his schedule.
“Kasi unang-una, meron akong Kawasaki provincial tour. Meron akong sitcom, meron akong series kay Jodi [Sta. Maria] at saka kay Robin [Padilla],” he explained.
“So, hindi ko magagawa yung trabaho ko sa MTRCB.
“Ever since naman, sa awa ng Diyos, hindi naman ako nabakante talaga. And natapat naman na nung in-appoint ako sa MTRCB board, e, talagang punung-puno.
“E, ayoko naman na magtatrabaho na hindi ko naman magagampanan yung trabaho ko. Di parang niloloko ko naman yung ibinabayad sa akin na mga taxes ng mga tao.”
It was in November 2016 when the appointment paper of Bayani Agbayani has been released, however, he declined after knowing the scope of his work.
Based on his interview with PEP.ph, “Papatak siya ng twice a week, five hours a day. Ang problema, iba-block off na.
“Halimbawa, for the whole month, kukunin ko na yung Wednesday at Thursday, ngayon sinabihan ako na kapag may trabaho ka, makipagpalit ka dun sa kasama mo.
“E, paano kung may trabaho din yung kasama ko, hindi makipagpalit sa akin?”
Last March, Cornelia ‘Angge’ Lee, the manager of Bayani Agbayani passed away.
Angge has been the manager of Bayani since he started his career in show business. At present, he’s being managed by Boy Abunda.
