Jollibee Release Official Statement, Apology To LGBT Member Who Was Allegedly Victim Of Discrimination From One Of Its Branches

Jollibee Food Corporation has publicly apologized to an LGBT member named Bunny Cadag who complained of alleged discrimination from one of its branches.

The lesbian gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community is a worldwide group that organize themselves to support each other and promoting their rights in the society.

On Thursday (August 10, 2017), Jollibee, one of the most popular fast-food chain in the country has apologized to a member of LGBT community who allegedly suffered from discrimination from one of the fast-food’s offices.

The complainant was identified as Bunny Cadag, an outsourced subscriber. Cadag complained that the Jollibee branch in Ortigas did not invite him to return to the fast-food chain after working for the company for a day.

Cadag seeks for a formal explanation from the popular fast-food chain, but he receives no response from them. The complainant also claimed that Jollibee was not welcoming transgender’s idea in the company for they were holding Catholic beliefs.

The popular fast-food chain shows their respect for the LGBT community through releasing their official statement and apology for Bunny Cadag. Here is Jollibee’s official statement:

 

Jollibee Foods Corporation (JFC) sincerely apologizes to Bunny Cadag who experienced an unfortunate incident as relayed in Bunny’s Facebook post. We also apologize to everyone who was offended and affected by this.

We assure everyone that this is an isolated incident as JFC does not in any way tolerate any disrespect, discrimination, harassment, violation or intimidation of any person, consistent with our company policy on diversity and inclusion. This experience has taught us that we should further heighten awareness and understanding of this policy across the organization.

As of this writing, we are reaching out to Bunny to personally extend our apologies.
