The members of the urban poor group Kalipunan ng Damayang Mahihirap (Kadamay) have conducted a protest after receiving threats from Duterte.

Previously, President Rodrigo Duterte has warned the poor group Kadamay against using poverty to force a change in the government. He threatens the members of the group not to repeat what they did to the housing projects in Bulacan because he will order his men to drive them away and shoot them down if they will resist

Last March 2017, about 5, 728 houses in Pandi Bulacan were forcedly occupied by the informal settlers. The housing projects in the province were supposed to be given to the families of soldiers, policemen, and firemen.
