NAIA Baggage Loader Roger Daniel Arrested After Caught Stealing Jewelry From Passenger’s Luggage At The Airport
A baggage loader in NAIA was arrested after he was caught stealing jewelry from the luggage of one of the plane passengers.
Previously, there are countless passengers from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) are complaining regarding their missing valuables, items, clothes, and even pasalubong. The authorities have already conducted investigations regarding the incident, but they failed to resolve the issue.
The issues of the missing items of the passengers have already forgotten since the passengers are too busy to pursue the matter and their complaints to the authorities. The area where the incidents have happened doesn’t have a reliable CCTV camera.
NAIA was the largest airport in the country and has been popular due to its high-tech facilities and equipment. The incident prompted some clients to mistrust the employee working at NAIA. No one would expect that the culprit is one of the airport employees.
Recently, a baggage loader identified as Roger Daniel has been arrested by the authorities after he was caught by the authorities stealing jewelry from the luggage of an arriving passenger and it appears that the authorities of the airport were protecting the riding public.
Aviation Operations and Management Inc. (AVOMSI) personnel has arrested the baggage loader for his illegal activities inside the airport. AVOMSI security specialist Meresa Porgadas has noticed that the baggage loader was acting suspiciously while doing his task at the baggage area.
The baggage area is the place where luggage is brought to the conveyor belt for check-up and would go to baggage carousel where passengers would pick it up. At this area, Daniel was able to get a watch, two necklaces, and four pairs of earrings.
Porgadas said that he noticed that Daniel looks like hiding something in his hands, so he was brought to the Airport Police Department for inspection and found the items in his possessions.
The culprit is facing criminal charges for his illegal activities and currently suspended from his duty. Daniel was also blacklisted from employment at the airport.
