A traffic officer in Palawan performing his job in the midst of a heavy rain goes viral online after it was posted in the social media.
Traffic enforcers were tasked to control and manage the flow of traffic on their area of jurisdiction. As a part of their job, they need to issue violation tickets for anyone who will violate traffic rules and regulations.
Managing the flow of traffic on a busy road is one of the most difficult tasks, but the traffic enforcers were required to do their job whether it is a sunny day or a rainy day. Aside from the corrupt traffic cop, there still a lot of faithful enforcers who used to perform their jobs whole-heartedly.
A Facebook user named Dela Cruz Qris has uploaded the photos of a traffic cop in Puerto Princesa, Palawan who faithfully performing his job in the midst of a heavy rain. The cop becomes a hero in the eyes of many people.
The traffic officer was identified as Ronnel Mallari who was leading to heavy traffic in the area because the traffic lights in the Intersection at Junction 1 Rotonda were out. In the midst of a heavy rain, the cop was still dealing with the motorists without even going to a shelter until the rain stops.
Mallari fulfills his task by being brave enough to do his job despite the risk of putting his own health and life at stake. The heavy rain causes low visibility, which could cause a distraction to other drivers and could possibly hit him while directing the traffic.
Qris explained that Mallari had a companion during duty in the intersection, but he was the only one left when the heavy rain comes.
