Singer-musician Aiza Seguerra revealed that he has a plan to change name even before Charice Pempengco now Jake Zyrus did it.
The National Youth Commission chairperson said that he supports the singer’s move to change name.
“I’m very happy for Jake,” she said. “Para sa akin, it takes courage to come out of the closet,” the former child star added.
“I’m really proud of him,” Aiza Seguerra concluded.
During her interview with PEP.ph, he revealed that he has plans to come out of the closet as a “transman.”
The singer noted that his wife Liza Diño also supports him.
When asked what’s the name he wanted, “Ize Seguerra, that’s it,” he said.
Aiza Seguerra denied that he will do it after being inspired by Jake Zyrus.
The singer also clarified that only his screen name and not his Cariza Yamson Seguerra will be changed once he undergoes the process.
Meanwhile, it was just recently when Charice Pempengco announced that she’s changing name.
The international singing sensation also revealed that she went through breast removal.
But before the former Glee cast-member made national headlines after changing name, she made a buzz online when she announced to the public that she’s parting ways with longtime partner, Alyssa Quijano.
