Pacman’s Short, Sweet WBO Championship Predicted By His Trainer Freddie Roach
Freddie Roach has predicted that Manny “Pacman” Pacquaio would a short and sweet WBO Welterweight World Championship against Jeff Horn.
Manny Pacquiao was set to fight the 29-year-old Australian boxer Jeff Horn this coming Sunday (July 02, 2017). Pacman doesn’t like predicting the fight in public, so his coach Freddie Roach made the prediction of the upcoming Pacquiao-Horn match.
Roach predicted that the upcoming match of Pacquiao would be a great fight, but it won’t last too long. He also predicted that someone will get knocked out citing Pacman’s victories via unanimous decision since 2009.
“He doesn’t like to predict knockouts, but I do. It’s going to be short and sweet. If Horn comes out likes he says he’s gonna, Manny will fire back. I think it’s going to be a great fight but it won’t last too long, and someone will get knocked out,” said by Roach quoted by ABS-CBN.
The Filipino boxing icon has a few strategies to handle Horn and he already knocked his sparring partners down during his training. Roach also noted that Pacman is in great shape and he’s feeling better right now.
The Pacquiao-Horn match was dubbed as the “Battle of Brisbane,” which will be held at the outdoor Suncorp Stadium. Around 50, 000 people are expected to watch the ultimate fight between the two legendary boxing icons.
Glenn Rushton, the trainer of Horn believed that the camp of Manny Pacquiao was taking the Australian boxer lightly. Pacquiao also denied that accusations that he is underestimating Horn.
