The Ramadan Pack given to Marawi evacuees wowed the netizens.

RAMADAN PACK – The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) and Secretary Judy Taguiwalo gained praises over Ramadan pack for Marawi evacuees.

Three photos presenting the Ramadan Pack given to the evacuees of Marawi City were recently posted on the Facebook page of Social Welfare Sec. Taguiwalo.

Based on the post, the photos came from “FO 12”. The Ramadan pack given by the IDPs contained the following:

  • Fruit Cocktail (2 cans)
  • Condensed Milk (2 cans)
  • Nestle Cream (2 packs)
  • Brown Sugar (1 kilo)
  • Milo (600 grams)
  • Bihon (1 kilo)
  • Chicken Cubes (1 box)
  • Soy Sauce (1 bottle)
  • Oil (1 liter)
  • Peanut Butter/Sandwich Spread

The said pack were given to the evacuees of Marawi City which is currently facing hardships after it was attacked by the Maute terrorist group.

Although some were reportedly killed in the clash, there were still rebels in the city who have not surrendered to the authorities.

Based on a previous news report, there were even soldiers who celebrated the recent Father’s Day celebration in the pursuit of protecting the country.

Some Marawi citizens have evacuated from the area. As the celebration of Ramadan approached, undeniably, the pack given by the DSWD is a sense of comfort for the evacuees.

As of the writing, the post has reached more than one thousand shares on the social media. Lots of netizens also commented on the post.

According to a Facebook user, they salute the people in the DSWD as they give these kinds of goods to the evacuees.

In a comment to the post, one netizen thanked the DSWD Secretary and President Rodrigo Roa Duterte for the move.

One netizen stated in a comment to the post that “there is really [a] change in service and attitude of people in government” as they have the commitment to serve the people.
