Mark Reyes reacted on “Sanggre” controversy.
MARK REYES – Here is the reaction of the director of ‘Encantadia’ Mark Reyes on the controversy of the word “Sanggre”.
The director of the hit fantasy series of the Kapuso network is Mark Reyes where the word “Sanggre” was first heard of.
A post from the Facebook account of Director Mark suddenly surfaced on the online community.
It is about the controversy of the word “Sanggre” which the series used to call its enchantresses but now can be heard in the new show of the Kapamilya network “La Luna Sangre” topbilled by the love tandem of Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla.
The post said shortly, “Excuse us? #wewerefirstduh #encantadia#encantadialegacy.”
And the people of the social media community could not help but react as well.
As seen on the comments sections just below the status, a netizen said, “Do u have any license na magpapatunay na pag aari mo ang salitang Sangre (which is different sa Sang’gre mo).”
Mostly of the comments contained the screen captured photos of the netizens that depicts the meaning the of Sangre to which they have obtained and searched over the google.
There were also one netizen who posted a photo that shows the meaning of Sangre to Sang’gre that she had also obbtained from the web.
A certain John Ragadi, a Facebook user indicated, “Triggered ka ata Direk Mark? Sang’gre is completely different to Sangre.”
However, based upon the previous report, the headwriter of the series, Suzette Doctolero, also chided the new show for using the word that sounded really similar to the tagged name of the four enchantresses of the Encantadia.
Whatever rooted the controversy to the coincidence of the two names having similar sound and pronunciation, no one knows.
