The video of a netizen named Cherrylyn Gecale who discovered a fake rice, which is made of plastic goes viral after it was posted in the social media.

Nowadays, a lot of fake things were already spreading in the market not only in the Philippines, but also in various countries all around the world. The existence of fake foods were very alarming for it might cause numerous diseases, which can harm the body’s health.

A Facebook user named Cherrylyn Gecale has uploaded a video and shared their experience upon discovering the fake rice, which was up of plastic. The video raised concern of the netizens fearing that they might also experience eating fake rice.

In the video, the husband of Cherrylyn shows the uncooked rice with a brand of “GOLD CUP UNO” with yellow sack they bought from the market near San Cristobal in Calamba, Laguna. The uncooked rice appears to be like other ordinary rice.

The man showed the cooked rice and he tried to perform what he saw in a video to identify whether the rice is fake or real. He tried to mold the rice and squeeze it, after a few moment he threw the rice on the ground and expecting that it would be scattered.

He was shocked when shape of the rice he formed didn’t even change and the rice becomes too much sticky unlike the authentic rice. In the end of the video, he is urging the viewers to be more careful in choosing brand of rice.
