The Philippines is said to host the Miss Universe once again this year.
PHILIPPINES – The country of the Philippines was pressed to hold once again the hosting of the most prominent beauty contest of the world, the Miss Universe.

According to the news report of the The Philippine Star, the back-to-back hosting of the country of the famous pageant Miss Universe is possible says Department of Tourism.
As being mentioned on the report, Kat De Castro, the Tourism Undersecretary for Advocacy and Public Affairs, said that organizers of the Miss Universe will be in the country on Friday to attend a charity event that features the candidates of the pageant on previous year.
De Castro said, “Ang maganda dito, sila mismo yung lumapit.”
She even added that they will discuss the renewal of contract the Philippines to possibly host again the said competition of beauty.
De Castro, who also handles the prestigious event said that the organizers have contacted them about the matter and the department will have to announce their decision within this month.
The coronation, which is also the highlight, of previous pageant last January 30 of this year was held at the Mall of Asia Arena.
However, prior to the main event, candidates was taken to different destinations in the country for their several pre-pageants contests.
And according to one of the major sponsors of the international pageant, the former governor of the Ilocos Sur Luis Chavit Singson stated that he is open to the chances that the Miss Universe to be held in the country once again.
He even added that it was possible for he will be supported by several agencies of the government.
As to the beauty queen that will represent the country, it will be none other than the newly hailed Miss Universe Philippines 2017 during Binibining Pilipinas Pageant, Rachel Peters.
