The priest who has been captured by the Maute terror group in Marawi City gives his message to President Rodrigo Duterte.
Previously, Marawi City has been attacked by the Maute terror group who fought back against the government forces. The extended gun battle takes most parts of the city and turned into a chaotic scenery.
President Rodrigo Duterte declared martial in the entire Mindanao due to the sporadic firefight between the rebels and government troops to handle the situation. Residents of Marawi City have already fled last week when the firefight temporarily subsided.
The Facebook page “YouLike PH” has uploaded a video of a priest who had been captured by the terrorist. In the video, it can be seen that the priest was elaborating the hostages captured by the terrorist.
After a few moments, the priest was asking the president to withdraw military forces from Lanao del Sur and Marawi City. He also urged Mr. Duterte to stop the airstrikes and cannon attacks of government troops against the rebels.
The priest also explained what they have been through under the captivity of Maute. He also expressed how his fellow hostage fears the terrorist urging the president to stop the military in attacking the terrorist group.

He said that the war has already ruined their city and asking the president to understand the Maute terror group for they are willing to die in the name of their religion. He also explained that the victims were already crying out for the 7 consecutive days of heavy gun fires in the entire city.
