A shooting incident happened in a Palawan Pawnshop in Iloilo.
PALAWAN PAWNSHOP – A CCTV Footage showed the shooting incident which happened in a Palawan Pawnshop in San Rafael, Iloilo.
The video which showed the incident was posted on the Facebook page Bombo Radyo Iloilo.
Based on the caption, the investigation conducted by the police authorities revealed that it was really the intention of Barangay Kagawad Rolando Ganzon to kill the security guard of the pawnshop according to SPO4 Rey Buenavista in an interview with Bombo Radyo Iloilo.
Buenavista is the acting chief of police of the San Rafael Municipal Police Station.
It is stated on the post that Buenavista expressed that based on the CCTV footage, Sangguniang Bayan (SB) Member Roger Ruto during that time was selling cosmetics to the staff and customers of the pawnshop.
When a customer asked for a plastic bag, the security guard allegedly shouted at the SB member.
Based on the post, Ruto went out and after seven minutes, the suspect together with another man went inside the pawnshop. The barangay kagawad allegedly went behind the guard and took his service firearm.
The guard grabbed the other man and made him as shield until the Barangay Kagawad allegedly shot the guard. Fortunately, it landed on the plate.
On the second time that the public official shot the guard, the firearm did not release bullets anymore.
The fight continued until they fell on the ground outside of the pawnshop. The guard was able to get his gun back and as well as the shot gun of the Barangay Kagawad.
Based on the post, SPO4 Buenavista expressed that there is also a laxity on the part of the guard as instead of guarding the pawnshop outside, he was inside the area together with the other customers.
Meanwhile, the Barangay Kagawad who was drunk during the incident will be facing frustrated murder charges.
