Aiko Melendez’s car allegedly committed illegal parking.
AIKO MELENDEZ – The vehicle of prominent actress Aiko Melendez was reportedly towed by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) in Quezon City today.
Based on a report in GMA News, a radio dzBB report stated that the vehicle of the actress was towed by the MMDA during a clearing operation allegedly due to illegal parking.
The car of Melendez was reportedly parked along Timog Avenue when it was towed by the MMDA.
Including the car of the famous Philippine celebrity, the number of the vehicles that were towed by the MMDA during the operation will not fall below 20 as the report stated.
According to Bong Nebrija, the operations chief of the MMDA, expressed that they are firm on clearing the ‘scout area’ from those that would block the road.
Based on the report, a “Scout Area bypass” is eyed by the MMDA. It is for the purpose of making a different route for the motorists who often pass by EDSA when they are off to Makati, Mandaluyong, and San Juan.

A Facebook user praised the act of the MMDA in his comment. He asked them to remove all those that block the road and to be consistent in their actions so the violators would learn to abide by the law.
