Harry Potter Prequel Written In A5 Postcard Stolen In UK

A prequel of Harry Potter was taken by somebody in United Kingdom.

HARRY POTTER – A prequel of Harry Potter written by J.K. Rowling in an A5 postcard was stolen in United Kingdom.

The series of Harry Potter books and movies has undeniably hooked the people. Lots of them became a Potter fan right after reading or watching just one of it. Recently, a news report mentioning Harry Potter broke in as its prequel was stolen.

Based on a recent news repot in CNN, the Harry Potter prequel which was written by the famous and excellent author J.K. Rowling was stolen in Kings Heath, Birmingham.

According to the news report, the famous author has written the prequel on an A5 postcard – back-to-back. The manuscript taken from a property was around 800 words long.

In a statement, investigating officer Paul Jauncey has expressed plead to the public to reach out to the authorities in case they would be offered or they would see the handwritten manuscript.

According to Jauncey, only the fans of Harry Potter will most likely purchase the prequel.

“The only people who will buy this unique piece are true Harry Potter fans. We are appealing to anyone who sees, or is offered this item for sale, to contact police,” the investigating officer said in a statement based on the news report.

Author J.K. Rowling has also taken to the social media a warning to the public in case they would be offered to buy the manuscript. Rowling stated in a post on Twitter that it was “originally auctioned for @englishpen”.

She added that “the owner supported writers’ freedoms by bidding for it”.

Based on the report, Rowling has written the 800-words long manuscript for a local charity which sold it for around $32,000 in 2008.

Citing local media reports, it is stated that the prequel features James Potter and Sirius Black, his best friend.

Anyone who sees it is encourage to report to the police authorities.
