From Pinoy Big Brother lovers into real-life sweethearts, Tommy Esguerra and Miho Nishida are now confirmed to have broken up.
In a statement released by ABS-CBN talent arm Star Magic, it said that the couple has decided to end their relationship for more than a year already.
“Both parties remain friends but have agreed to spend time apart,” Star Magic said. “Miho and Tommy ask for your continuous support for their individual careers. Thank you,” the ABS-CBN talent arm added.
However, the statement did not mention the reason for their apparent split.
It was in 2015 when the relationship of Tommy Esguerra and Miho Nishida or popularly known as “ToMiho” blossomed during their stint on the country’s longest running reality show, Pinoy Big Brother via 737 edition.
The couple became official in December 2015, after Tommy Esguerra publicly asked Miho Nishida to be his girlfriend on noontime program, “it’s Showtime.”
Fans of the couple figured out that something is wrong in their relationship when Tommy Esguerra deleted his photos along with Miho Nishida on image-sharing site, Instagram.
Meanwhile, in a press interview of the couple of their debut movie, Foolish Love, Tommy admitted that he had a rough patch in their relationship.
“No relationship is smooth, let’s be honest. Whether friends, family, girlfriend-boyfriend. Steady lang,” the model-actor said.
Tommy and Miho appear on TV series, “Langit Lupa” which is set to end on Friday, April 28, 2017.
