The world’s tallest flower is now blooming and can be only found in Brgy. Tubudan, San Remigio in the province of Antique.

Flower is the reproductive structure of a plant, but it is mostly used for decorative purposes. Most people were growing flowers at their home to serve as decoration and can also give peace and relaxation to its owner.

A Facebook user named Flord Calawag posted a photo of a large inflorescence called “Amorphophallus sp.” He found the plant at 590 Rafflesia Highland Resort in Brgy. Tubudan, San Regimio in the province of Antique.

Amorphophallus sp was usually mistakenly dubbed as the tallest flower in the world. It is not a flower, but it is a cluster of small flowers, which is called as inflorescence, according to Dr. Pieter Pelser. It is a flowering plant with a smell of a rotting corpse, which usually grows in the openings rainforests on limestone hills.

This flowering plant can be found in the blooming site, which is only 100 steps away from the national highway. Calawag also advised the tourists to wear trekking shoes before going to the blooming site.
