Another weird sea creature was found in Brgy. Banago, Bacolod City, is it a sign of another calamity or indicates something else?
Previously, numerous appearance of strange deep-sea creatures in shallow waters were spotted during the previous months, which was followed by series of earthquakes in different parts of the Philippines and causes fear to many Filipinos.
Oarfish is one of the most common deep-sea creatures spotted in the coastal areas of various places in the country. The Surigao quake last February 2017 has also occurred 2 days after oarfish was found by the local fisherman in the coastal area of the province.
On Wednesday (April 19, 2017), a Facebook user named PapaJie Lagunero Acebo posted a video and photos of a weird-looking sea creature, which generates speculations if it was a sign of impending catastrophic events.
Some netizens were claiming that the strange sea creature was called “Mola” or Sunfish. It also raises the concern of some netizens fearing that it would be followed by earthquakes and other calamities.
Kiyoshi Wadatsumi, a Japanese seismologist explained that deep-sea creatures were very sensitive to any irregular movements in the sea ground. Their appearance on shallow waters indicates that something is happening in the deep.
