Hazel Mhariz – Facebook user Hazel Mhariz took to the social media about an incident when she was allegedly catcalled by three men while she was riding in a jeepney.
Catcalling is known to have a negative definition especially when a man does it to a woman. Based on the Facebook account of Hazel Mhariz, she posted a status regarding the alleged incident on April 10 at 5:21 P.M.
In her status, it was stated that the unfortunate incident happened at 9:00 A.M. in the morning. She was alone riding the jeep wearing pants and T-shirt. And she cat’t help it but notice the stares, winking and the smile that the three men is throwing at her.
Those repeated actions for her has other meanings than being just friendly.
Based on her post, the three men were calling her saying, “Ganda mo naman, Miss” and “Ba’t mag-isa ka lang,Miss?”
As of the moment, Hazel Mhariz’s status has already gathered more than 15,000 reactions, 5,033 shares and more than a thousand comments.
The Facebook friends of Hazel express their concerns to Hazel and their anger towards the three men through comments. Some were pissed off and some of them even shared their experiences similar to that of Hazel’s.
One Facebook friend of her commented, ” Wala sa suot, nasa tao.”
It was also agreed by one of the Facebook friend saying, “Walang matinong babae ang magpapabastos sa kahit na sinong lalake. Gwapo man o hindi. Mayaman man o hindi.”
Hazel also posted a picture along with her status. In the images, the three men is actually looking through the mirror as if peering for someone at the back.
The three men were the driver of the jeepney and the two passengers who were seating at the front seat of the vehicle.
