United Airlines’ CEO Oscar Munoz Stretched Out His Apology for the Unfortunate Event In An Overbooked Flight
United Airlines’ Chief-Executive-Officer Oscar Munoz issued his sincere and deep apology regarding an incident wherein one of their passengers in an overbooked flight has been dragged from his seat.
According to a report in CNN Money, Munoz stated that in order to fix what’s broken, he will have a full review of it by April 30. He even described the incident as ‘truly horrific’.

“I want you to know that we take full responsibility and we will work to make it right. I promise you we will do better, ” he said on April 11.
The incident was video recorded by one of the passengers and was posted on the social media. It went viral creating a fuss over the online community.
On the report, Department of Transportation will also conduct their investigation regarding the publicized episode.
Based on the previous report, one passenger who has recorded the incident named Audra D. Bridges.
Her husband, Tyler Bridges, said that he felt like they were being hostage and they’ve got nothing to do. He even stated that whoever surrenders his or her seat was offered to be given $400, a stay in a hotel and $800 voucher. Yet, no one did.
The seat will be given to the four employees working under the Republic Airline and that they are chasing a flight to Kentucky or else, lack of employees will lead to the cancellation of the other flights.
The manager came in to the plane and told the passengers that they are going to pick in random. Among all, four passengers has been called. The three gave up but the fourth person refused to do so.

Upon the refusal, authorities were called and they dragged the refusing passenger along the aisle, screaming with busted lips and there were blood in his chin and cheek.
The said passenger is Dr. David Dao, who has work and patients to attend to the day after that. Based on a video posted by Business Insider in YouTube, the airline has already released an apology for the “overbooked situation”.
