P500k Aid Will Be Given To Slain Or Injured Police, Army On Duty
Slain or Injured police and soldiers on duty could now receive up to P500k aid or financial assistance from the Philippine government.
On Friday (March 31, 2017), the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) announced that the police officers or soldiers, who will be killed or wounded on duty could receive a monetary assistance worth P500, 000.
The Philippine National Police and the Armed Forces of the Philippines will give up to half a million pesos as financial assistance for the cops and militaries, who will be wounded and dies during a mission, excluding their pension benefits.
The Department of National Defense and DILG in cooperation with the Office of the President enhanced the Comprehensive Social Benefits Program (CSBP) for cops and army personnel injured and killed on duty.
P500, 000 financial assistance will be given to slain soldiers and police personnel. Wounded militaries and cops with Total Permanent Physical Disability (TPPD) will receive P250, 000, while P100, 000 will be given for those suffered major and minor injuries.
P450, 000 will be given to the families of slain soldiers and cops. They will also receive a health care assistance worth P2, 4000 yearly from the Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth).
The Department of Health (DOH) would provide maintenance medicines for the qualified beneficiaries of those who were killed on duty. Educational assistance and yearly allowance will be given for up to 2 children of killed or TPPD army or police personnel.
