A 21-year-old bottled water vendor graduated from college.
21-YEAR – The 21-year-old student who sells bottled water for his schooling, Jay Kummer “Dodoy” Teberio, finally finished his tertiary education.
Dodoy used to be a bottled water vendor to fund his education based on a recent report in ABS-CBN News. Usually, he would be seen having a red lipstick and a hat with flowers on his head.
This working student did not allow his situation to prevent him from going to school. Although he came from a poor family residing in Sitio Mahayahay, Barangay Carreta in Cebu City, he managed to work things out.
He does not only earn P500 every day for selling bottled water but he also gets to make a lot of people happy with the way he does his job – always with a big smile on his face.
Moreover, based on the report, by being a bottled water vendor, he also gets to help his parents as he shares it with his family.
It seems that all his hard works are paid off now as he marched his way to the peak of his college life – the graduation.
Based on the report, Dodoy finished his college at the University of Cebu with a degree of Bachelor of Science in Secondary Education Major in Music, Arts, Physical Education and Health.
Furthermore, it is also stated that the company that is behind the bottled water which Dodoy sells gave his family an amount of money. The firm decided to document the daily life of this hardworking 21-year-old man for the advertisement of the product.
Indeed, this bottled water vendor is a living example of the line “No pain, no gain.” Despite all the struggles considering that he was pursuing both his studies and his job, he still managed to work things out and make it to the graduation day.
Dodoy is also a perfect example on how a person must value studies. He did not let poverty hinder him from finishing college. Instead, he looked for a way to support his studies and as well as to help his family in a good way.
His story is undeniably an inspiring one. Indeed, nothing is impossible as long as you are determined to give your best shot no matter what so that one day you can exactly be where you just imagined before.
