Gunman Behind Road Rage Killing Allegedly Coddled By Influential Person In Boracay
Road rage suspect Fredison “Sonson” Atienza was allegedly coddled by a very influential person in Boracay after shooting a motorist.
Esther Mendoza, the mother of the road rage victim Anthony Mendoza, is seeking justice and help from the government for the sudden death of his son last Saturday (February 25, 2017). Esther couldn’t let go of Anthony’s helmet after he was shot dead by Atienza.
Marian Reginaldo, Anthony’s fiancée, is also hoping that they were the last family who will mourn due to road rage killings. Reginaldo said that she and Anthony were supposed to be married next year, but it will never happen because he is already dead.
According to the information gathered by the authorities, Atienza was hiding in Boracay. Atienza also tried to deceive the police by booking a flight from Boracay going to Clark, Pampanga but he did not show up.
The Philippine National Police (PNP) also conducted an investigation on some hotels on the island, but not all hotels were gathering the personal information of their clients. PNP also received another information that Atienza was possibly coddled by an unidentified influential person in Boracay.
QCPD Director C/Supt. Guillermo Eleazar also said that Atienza possesses 2 firearms. The license of the said firearms was already expired. The police chief also said that Atienza can be considered as a risk while he is still on loose.
Mendoza’s family were urging Atienza to voluntarily surrender himself to the authorities.
