Look! Students’ Mixed Reactions On Post Announcing Classes Will Go On Amidst Transport Strike

Many students responded to the post announcing the holding of classes on February 27.

STUDENTS – A social media post announcing the holding of classes in a college institution amidst the nationwide transport strike elicited various reactions from the students.

Recently, lots of institutions have declared a suspension of classes today due to the nationwide transport strike. However, there are those which will still hold classes today just like one of the colleges in Negros Occidental – the Carlos Hilado Memorial State College.

Yesterday, a social media post on the institution’s Facebook page announcing that there will be classes elicited mixed reactions from the netizens.

One netizen tagged a friend of him in the comment and told her to wake up early and start walking so when she arrives at school she is already “sexy” while another netizen asked if how about those who were out of town.

“Ma fun run or ma walk with faith? [They’ll do the fun run or walk with faith?],” she stated.

Another netizen expressed in her comment a quest about what she can do as it takes her four vehicle rides before she gets to school.

“Pwede na kita ka lakat subong kag didto overnight sa campus [We can start walking now and spend the night at the campus],” stated another Facebook user.

One Facebook user expressed in her comment that their school is really studious – “Ka tutum gd ya ka CHMSC ah.”

Many students asked the institution in their comments to let the school bus fetch the students.

Ari lang ko di sa brgy handumanan phase 3 aa Sugata ko sang school bus ha ?? kay ma skwela gid ko aa [I’m just here in Barangay Handumanan Phase 3. Just let me be fetched by the bus for I will really go to school.”

“Padala niyo di ang CHMSC bus sa Murcia. Alert ha! [Send the CHMSC bus here in Murcia. Make it fast!]”

One  Facebook user commented “bes ba’t ang manhid? [Bes why are you numb?]”

“Sulod ta. Total sanay na ta. Bskan gani bagyo ga bato ta [Let’s attend class as we are already used to it. We fight even that there is a storm],” stated one netizen.

One netizen expressed in his comment yesterday that he will start walking so he could attend his class early.

Reportedly, the nationwide transport rally held today is a protest against the move to phase out old public vehicles. There were operators and drivers who did not plight their route today.

Undeniably, many people really had a hard time in getting to their destinations due to the transport strike.
