“During the small talk, I found out that per their store’s policy, she will be forced to pay for all the unsold slices,” Enano said.

In her lengthy Facebook post, Enano wrote that after changing her mind to buy the entire box of pizza, she managed to ask more details from the server.

“I asked her, shouldn’t there be an estimate of just how much slices you’ll sell per day? Apparently, the manager decides on that, but the server will be the one who will cough up money if he/she does not sell them all,” Enano said.

The employees were allegedly forced to sell all pizza slices and buy the unsold ones.

Enano ended her Facebook post by encouraging other social media users to be nicer in dealing with people working in the service industry by saying, “They fight bigger battles, too.”

The Facebook post of Enano has widely circulated on the social media and earned supportive reactions from the netizens.

“Unsold products should be accounted under spoilage costs. Either the manager is trying to pass the cost to the staff to make him/herself look good or unfair talaga yung company,”  netizen said.

One of the social media users commented that the store is possibly violating the country’s labor laws.
