A cop went down from his motorcycle to confront a driver behind him.
COP – A video showing a man in police uniform confronting a driver on the road went viral on the social media.
Recently, a video uploaded on the Facebook page Dash Cam Diaries Philippines went viral on the social media. According to the netizen who owned the video, a motorcycle driver was driving very slow along Daang Hari.
He stated that the motorcycle driver was in the fast lane so he honked his horn to make him aware that he was behind him. “He was causing a slowdown on the fast lane,” the netizen stated on the caption of the post.
Based on the posted video which the netizen claimed to have been taken when they were “at the stoplight along Daang Hari in front of Ayala Southvale,” the motorcycle driver knocked on the door of the car to confront the driver.
The driver did not open his door until a traffic officer came. The motorcycle driver was saying something so the driver asked him to remove the cover in his mouth. The motorcycle driver removed his mask and showed him a nameplate on his chest.
He complained that the driver kept on honking at him. “Ako po yung nauna dun sa lane niyo eh [I am ahead of you on your lane],” the motorist said.
Furthermore, the cop said to the other driver that he does not have to make him speed up when he was asked why he was going slow. The driver can be heard on the video telling the motorcycle driver that he was in the wrong lane.
The video has already reached more than 667 thousand views and the post has already reached more than five thousand shares as of Monday. Lots of netizens commented on the post.
Many Facebook users expressed that what the cop did was right. One netizen stated that the driver should have let the cop finished with what he was saying first before he interrupted him.
One Facebook user expressed in his comment that the video shows that the cop did not use his profession for his advantage during the incident. Instead, he sought the aid of a traffic enforcer.
