A father who lost his job as a construction worker in the City walked for 6 days to go home and rejoin his family in the province because he had no money.

We live in a world that values material possessions above anything else. The majority of people are worried about what we have than who we are, but many of the things we are fortunate enough to in our lives are not tangible.

It’s rare to see people who strive up to live with their principles no matter what.

Take this story as an example.

According to ABS-CBN news, a father lost his job in the city walked for 6 days to go home to his family in a province in the northern Philippines.

Virgilio Culibao lost his job as a construction worker in Valenzuela. Since he was laid off from work, Virgilio wanted to be with his family in Isabela but he had no money. So what he did was to walk home.

Virgilio needs to walk almost 400 kilometers from Valenzuela to reach Isabela.

Along the way, the old man had to pick up junk so he could sell it to have money and feed his stomach.

When he reached the province of Nueva Ecija, a kind-hearted man offered help and feed him.

The good samaritan brought him food and later posted his story on Facebook. His story reached to a group of motorcycle riders who decided to help him.

Larry Farinas, a member of the motorcycle group from Nueva Ecija talked to ABS-CBN reporter how they’ve heard about Virgilio.

Farinas shared that they look for Virgilio after a rider from R2RM group saw him and feed him, then posted his photo on Facebook.

Motorcycle riders helped him via this pick up.

Virgilio was rescued by the riders in the Solano Nueva Vizcaya and then they gave him a ride to Isabela.

According to a post of Rain Catining, Virgilio refused to take dishonest money; he would rather take long route walk because his conscience refused to steal.
