The photos of an air-conditioned house, stealing electricity from the public through illegal connection went viral after it was posted in the social media.

Electricity becomes one of the necessities of people nowadays, due to the improving economy and technology innovation. It was also the blood of the industry because, without electricity, factories can’t properly manufacture its product.

It also makes our lives easier and faster, because of its numerous functions. Electricity can be only availed by consumers through paying the services of the electric companies for providing electricity in our homes.

A concerned netizen shared a photo of an electrical jumper in a post going to an air-conditioned house, which is a method of stealing electricity from the public and electric companies. Legal consumers and the government were paying for the electricity consumption of the air-conditioned house.

According to another netizen, the barangay officials were already aware of the same incident in the place, but there are some of them were just taking advantage of it by making it a business. Some officials were offering several homes to pay P300 to P500 for illegal connection.

Many netizens expressed their sentiments in the social media regarding the photo. It is totally unfair for the part of legal consumers who were paying for the power loss generating charges, while illegal consumers were just enjoying their stolen electricity.
