All eyes were on the Pinay beauty queen as she walked the stage wearing her glimmering National costume during the swimsuit presentation for the preliminary competition of the Miss Universe 2016 pageant.

In a recent news report of ABS-CBN news, the national costume of Philippines bet Maxine Medina was made by Rhett Eala.

Rhett revealed that Medina’s National costume was inspired by the vinta, a traditional boat from Mindanao. The Headdress of the Pinay beauty queen cost more that P1 million to make as it was also adorned with south sea pearls.

The headdress was a resembled of a large piece of coral that found in the country’s reefs.

After the preliminary round of the Miss Universe pageant on Thursday, the ladies showcases their national costume portion of the pageant.

Filipinos were stunned when Maxine Medina walked the stage and finally unveiled her national costume.

Philippines bet proves that she could maintain her poise while walking in her glimmering and heavy headpiece.

According to the report, the candidate’s performance during the National costume show was not scored.

But the all the scores from the preliminary competition and along with an interview portion will help to determine the Top 12 candidates in the Miss Universe coronation event to be held at 8 a.m. on January 30, also at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Meanwhile, three days before the 65th Miss Universe pageant’s grand coronation night, the Philippines’ bet Maxine Medina has not been wasting a day to train harder than ever. She is doing everything and her best to have a back-to-back win for the country.
