Sleep is necessary for individuals because it regenerates and repairs damaged tissues in the body, lack of sleep can cause these possible diseases.
Sleeping is one of the most important habits of a person that should be done, in order to maintain the body’s health. When we sleep our mind and body enters the state of rest, where the damaged tissues and organs in the body were repaired.
It is the most essential and relaxing things people must do to survive. Few hours of sleep at night allows our body to recharge after all the stress during the day. Sleep also helps the brain to store several things in the memory.
Millions of processes including regeneration and repairing of damaged cells were going on while we are asleep. Eight hours of sleep at night is required for total recovery. Lack of sleep has negative effects on the health and life-threatening diseases may occur in long-term sleep deprivation.
Cardiovascular Diseases

Diabetes and Obesity

Alzheimer’s Disease

“Melatonin” is a hormone in the body, which regulates sleeps and suppresses the growth of a malignant tumor. Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention, researchers released a study last 2013, stating that 60 percent of men who had sleeping problems has a bigger chance to develop prostate cancer.
Suicide
The Stanford University of Medicine, researchers found out that the increasing rate of suicide cases in the U.S was due to sleep deprivation. Those who suffer from sleep deprivation, which was linked to stress and health issues were likely to commit suicide.
Lack of sleep can cause irritability, increased stress, impaired moral judgment, memory lapses, cognitive impairment, tremors, aches, decreased accuracy, increased reaction time, and other behavioral or physical problems.
