Regional hospital in Bacolod City is facing a complaint about pregnant woman’s death.

Doña Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) facing a complaint about the alleged negligence of its staff leading to the death of a pregnant.

In a recent new report of Sun Star Bacolod, The Task force Crusaders confirmed that they will file a complaint against the hospital.

The group was reportedly asked the Department of Health Sec. Paulyn Jean Ubial to immediately investigate the latest death at the hospital.

According to the report, Mary Joy Geronca, 23, died because of the alleged negligence of the hospital staff.

Jose Cesar Penario, the father of Geronca, said in an interview that her daughter was pregnant with twins. They brought her to CLMMRH on January 16, 2017, and she died the following day.

The father also revealed that the Mary Joy was having an eclampsia. He added that during that time the doctors did not inform them that the twins were already dead, or else they could have saved her daughter’s life instead.

John Chiong, deputy commander of Task Force Crusader, said he will submit the complaint of the family of Mary Joy Geronca, 23 against the hospital.

Chiong submitted a letter to Ubial dated, and said that the investigation “is for public  interest.”

He said that they will facilitate the complaint which they found to be valid.

However, Dr. Julius Drilon, the chief of the Doña Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital (CLMMRH) denied accusations that the death of a pregnant woman and her twins were a result of negligence on the part of the attending staff.

According to Drilon, the hospital staff did their best to gave all the necessary medical attention and assistance to their patient.

He also said that it is unfortunate that the woman died and her twins.
