Retired PNP Deputy Director Gen. Marcelo Garbo was linked to the alleged kidnapper of a Korean businessman.
GARBO – PSupt. Raphael Dumlao revealed the boast of SPO3 Ricky Sta. Isabel, the man allegedly associated to the kidnapping of Korean businessman Jee Ick Joo.
Lots of incidents have happened. One of it is the killing of a Korean businessman, Jee Ick Joo, inside the Philippine National Police Headquarters which sparked lots of news headlines and elicited many reactions from the public recently.
Investigations into the incident are still ongoing. Recently, news reports stating that a high-ranking official was linked to the kidnapping of the Korean businessman have hit the surface.
Based on a recent news report in Du30Today, the team leader of SPO3 Sta. Isabel, PSupt. Raphael Dumlao, revealed the boast of the police officer who is accused of being involved in the kidnapping and the killing of Jee Ick Joo.
According to Dumlao, Sta. Isabel personally told him that he was assigned to the post under the direction of Gen. Garbo.
Furthermore, it is also stated in the news report that the police superintendent claimed that the high-ranking official might be behind why Sta. Isabel is in the Philippine National Police Anti-Illegal Drugs Group (PNP-AIDG).
Dumlao further said that Sta.Isabel claimed that the high-ranking official, Gen. Garbo, calls him ‘anak [child]’ and that he personally knew him and allowed him to manage a ‘personal business’.
On the other side, Dumlao made it clear that the high-ranking official did not communicate to him for Sta. Isabel’s accommodation.
An investigation as to who did Gen. Garbo talked for the accommodation of Sta. Isabel in the AIDG is still being worked on by the group according to AIDG Director PS/Supt. Albert Ferro based on the report.
The wife of the Korean businessman has already confirmed that the golf set which was found at the Gream Funeral Service in Caloocan belongs to her spouse.
